I think I have written in the past about how I get creative urges to make collages, artworks or assemblage art. It only seems to happen once a year, and now is one such time.
I would love to be able to do real-life collages – using paper, paint and other things. For some reason I feel incapable of this artform, but I have no issues with doing the same thing digitally. I thought about it a bit and I think it’s because I am not skilled at painting – at all. And whenI bring out my paint brushes I fear I will do a wrong stroke and wreck the canvas – so I don’t make any strokes.
Give me Photoshop and some scanned images though, and anything is possible.
Such as these recent works. You can see the originals at Red Bubble.
