I’ve held onto this miniature portrait for a loooooong time. I was waiting for the right inspiration and ideas to come along so I could make it into something worthy of its heritage. It’s an amazing focal piece – a miniature portrait from the 19th century, painted onto ivory and framed with this ornate pinchbeck miniature frame. The peach and cream moonstones seemed to be the perfect match for the subtle colours of the necklace.
I listed it at L’Atelier de Talaru. You can click on the photo to be taken to the listing. The price is $485, which includes shipping and insurance. It’s definitely one of a kind and rare. A real work of art to wear around your neck.
